Debbie Bauld has a master certification in Reiki, and underwent training for gemstone energy through Gemisphere. She trained under Naturopathic Doctor Adda Gonzales, helping the Gemisphere team and Dr. Adda for many years with workshops, and behind the scenes.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning universal life energy. It is a gentle method of hands on healing that taps into the energy referred to as “ki” in Japan, “Chi” in China, and “prana” in India. The practive of reiki is based on the teachings of Mikao Usui who practiced and taught healing techniques in early twentieth century Japan. Usui was most likely inspired by his early spiritual training, which included the study of Buddhist healing arts. Over the next century Reiki spread throughout Japan and then the world.
Reiki is not massage, hypnosis, nor a tool for diagnosing illness. Reiki is a technique that addresses both chronic and acute conditions. This technique gently and powerfully promotes balance among all the body, mind and spirit.
Though Reiki techniques appear simple the effects can feel profound. Most people experience deep relaxation. You may also physically feel tingling, pulsing, or a sense of warmth and comfort. You may just fall asleep or receive clarity through messages and visions.
Results can be subtle. Some recipients say they fell asleep during the session but awoke feeling a sense of calm and well being. It is possible you could experience powerful sensations or emotions during or after your session. Your practitioner will want to hear about your responses to the degree you are comfortable with. Journaling your dreams and meditating after energy work is suggested, as you may find yourself iwith several “ah ha” moments. Having a series of treatments is the most beneficial.

What is Gemstone therapy?

Gemstone therapy enhances and opens energy channels that have been blocked, targeting the underlying causes of illness and discontent, rather than masking the symptoms. Energy medicine aims not only to improve our health, but to transform it.
We all carry this ‘spark’ or ‘seed’ of energy connected to the higher, finer vibrations, and only need to water and nurture this seed in order for it to grow and flourish. The speed and growth of this seed is in direct proportion to the amount of Qi we direct towards helping the seed germinate.
Having gemstone energy work with esoteric acupuncture patters can be thought of as watering the seeds within us, to assist in our journey of spiritual awakening and give us a clearer insight into why we are on this planet. Part of the reward is the knowledge we have gained by understanding and eliminating the things that cause our physical unbalance. We must learn to go inward and focus on our goals. We can then learn to accentuate our purpose in life and find the road we wish to travel to complete this journey.
